JACC Leadership Symposiums were created to continue strengthening the leadership abilities and knowledge base of our business community. The focus is in on both leadership and community. Realizing that none of us know all we need to know about these areas and that all of us have much to contribute concerning these areas, the mission of this symposium is to provide a forum to continually learn. |
|
• Symposiums will be held at various locations throughout the community. • The speakers are offered a $100.00 honorarium paid to the organization of their choice. • Topics will be ones most important to what's going on in the area of leadership or in the community at that time. • In some cases, the speaker may constitute the entire program. At other times, there may be several topics covered in one session, with the use of a facilitator. • Keep the sessions fast-paced and full of surprises, keeping the participants engaged. • Scholarship money would be available each year to fund a potential Leadership Joplin class participant. Symposium attendees may register themselves or their staff member at each symposium, for the drawing of that scholarship money to be done at the end of every year. • Each symposium will include a Salute to a local organization/initiative and a Call to Action to cause an immediate response to a pressing, community issue or need. |
